Two Blue John brooches, the larger oval shaped brooch in a yellow metal frame with foliate design and an open back, the smaller one in a rectangular bar shaped plain silver setting with a closed back, stamped Sterling Silver.

Condition Report
Both brooches in good condition and with little sign of wear. The stone in the larger, oval shaped brooch features a number of surface reaching fractures. The setting of the smaller, bar-shaped brooch has a number of minor surface abrasions commensurate with its age and wear. The stone within this smaller brooch features a small number of surface reaching fractures, commensurate with the nature of the stone. Both broochers are in overall good condition.
