Lot Description
A Victorian sentimental brooch of circular form, comprising a central emerald and diamond set star design cluster on a domed metal panel, rope border and reverse vacant photo panel. Diameter 2.8cms. (Rope border possibly a later addition).

Condition Report
The brooch is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, displaying some discolouration and tarnishing to the metal. The diamonds are rose cut and, although small, are a nice example of the time. The emerald is again small but is of good quality displaying a pleasing vivid colour. The reverse photo panel is displaying some scratches and clouding to the surface.
