An oval sentimental locket, with a central enamelled bird-of-paradise and forget-me-not motif, inlaid black enamel and ornate detail to reverse opening to reveal a sepia photograph of a young gentleman in traditional army dress and lock of hair. Length of locket 3.5cm, width 2.4cm.

Condition Report
The locket is in excellent condition in keeping with age and use, displaying small fine lines, marks and tarnishing to the whole. The enamel motif has retained a pleasing level of detail and vitality of colour. Under 10 X magnification one can see small scratches to the enamel but no chips. The lock of hair inside the locket is crude and unbound.
