A Victorian shell cameo brooch, circa 1880, depicting the side profile of a Grecian woman with the Dove of Peace to the foreground and set within an oval frame having spaced scroll detail. Length of brooch 6.2cms, width 5.6cms. Weight 36.66gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall fair condition. There are some hairline fractures visible to the cameo, the collet surrounding the cameo is quite dented in places with areas of tarnishing. The cameo may have possible been replaced. There are scratches to the frame in keeping with the age of the piece, the engraved scroll detail to the top spacer is heavily worn. The pin is metal and has been replaced.
