A late Victorian 9ct gold sovereign holder/vesta case, with two joined hinged compartments and central personal engraving which reads 'Presented to (initial monogram) by the CTS & AC Sep 1901'. Hallmarks for Chester 1900. Length 6.4cms. Weight 40.19gms.

The item is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the gold in keeping with the age of the piece, the hallmark to the inner rim is nice and clear. There is tarnishing to the hinge detail.
