Lot Description

A diamond cluster ring, the central Georgian cluster circa 1820, set with foil backed old cut diamonds to an associated hoop with scroll design shoulders. Lead solder to reverse and evidence of repair work. Diameter of central diamond 7mm.

The ring is in fair/poor condition. There is lead solder to the back of the ring and to the shoulders where the piece has been repaired/altered. The foil to the back of the central diamond has started to green in places, the outer settings are heavily worn in keeping with the age of the piece. The back of the ring shank is dented and worn. Ring size P.
