A Victorian garnet set snake design brooch, circa 1840, in an intertwined design with a pear shape cabochon set head and suspended drop. Length 2.3cms, width 3cms. Weight 4.41gms. AF.

The brooch is in overall fair condition. The hollow crossover centre panel has split to the back and would need attention. The garnets are well matched, the suspended with some small surface reaching inclusions, there are scattered inclusions running throughout the stone. The pin is metal and has been replaced.
