A sapphire and split pearl bar brooch, the central claw set sapphire within an eight rayed star surround set with graduated split pearls. Diameter 3.9cms. Weight 6.1gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the back of the brooch in keeping with minor wear. The split pearls are all well matched, with a bright lustre. The sapphire is in good condition, there is a surface reaching fracture to the side visible with 10x magnification. The sapphire has a deep blue hue with an even saturation of colour running through the stone. The pin and catch is secure.
