Lot Description
A pair of Victorian sapphire and diamond cluster ear pendants, circa 1880, each with a central oval sapphire surrounded by eight spaced old European cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45cts. Dimensions of sapphires 8 x 7 x 6.9 mm, estimated weight 3.52cts and 8.5 x 7 x 6.9mm estimated weight 3.31cts. Length of earrings 1.8cms.

Condition Report
The earrings are in overall good condition. The sapphires are well matched. Both have a strong body colour with a fairly good even colour saturation. Windowing can be seen to small areas of both sapphires where a paler blue colour is present. This is seen when the sapphire is viewed from the side. Feathers and light inclusions can be seen within both stones with the unaided eye. Silk can be seen.
Minor chips and nibbles can be seen to both stones.
The rose cut and old European cut diamonds are bright and lively.
All settings will need attention as they are worn.
Tarnish, scratches and scuffs can be seen, in keeping with age.
