A Victorian garnet brooch, circa 1880, the central circular garnet surrounded by four further garnets interspaced by bead detail within a circular border, with later attached suspended garnet cluster drop. Length (including later drop) 5.5cms, width 3.9cms. AF.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall fair/poor condition. The outer circular rim is dented out of shape in places, with slight scratches and areas of discolouration in places. There is slight abrasion to the central garnet, the central garnet has a strong depth of colour, possibly foiled with easily visible inclusions. The outer garnets are paler in colour, all well matched. The later attached suspended drop is damaged, with splits to the gold, the outer rim is damaged, the settings to the garnets would need to be secured as they appear sharp.
