ROLEX - an 18k gold automatic gentleman's Oyster-Perpetual Day-Date wrist watch circa 1968, the silvered dial with hourly applied batons, date and day apertures positioned to three and twelve o'clock, bordered by a minute track, the tonneau shaped case, serial number 23716539, case number 1803, with fluted bezel, fitted to an associated brown leather strap, signed twenty-six jewel calibre 1556, number DD88180. Case width 36mm.

Rolex wrist watch, automatic movement is currently functioning however the movement is dirty, there is some wear to the automatic work bridge and the rotor has some play in it, dial has some small marks and there is tarnishing around the edges, hands have some small marks, glass has small scratches and there appears to be various pieces of debris trapped between the glass and dial, case has some scratches and marks as a result of general wear, left hand side has a small dint at 9 o'clock, areas around the lugs and the lugs themselves have dints, scuff marks and noticeable nicks to the edge., fluted bezel has some small marks to the raised points, later associated strap shows signs of light wear with creasing around the holes, buckle appears to be in good condition.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this watch be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
