Lot Description
An early 20th Century base metal open face single push piece chronograph production timer, signed Charles Churchill & Co Ltd Manchester, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, continuous seconds and minute register subsidiary dials to the six and twelve o'clock positions, bordered by a seconds track and having further outer calibrations to indicate production per hour, the plain gun metal case with gilt fittings, fitted with a gilt Swiss lever column wheel chronograph movement with train jewelling and numbered 1109470. Case diameter 50mm.

Base metal open face chronograph production timer, manual winding movement is currently functioning but there is little action in the balance, dial has some small marks as well as a more noticeable mark to the subsidiary seconds dial between the 55 and 15 second markers, hands show signs of tarnishing, glass has some fine scratches, case has scratches and marks as a result of general use, case is tarnished, scratching around the lip to open the back of the case, inner back case has scratching to the edge at 1 o'clock which looks to have occurred when opening.
