Lot Description
A freshwater cultured pearl necklace with an early 20th century diamond clasp, the fifteen rows of freshwater cultured pearls centering on an early 20th century diamond clasp of pierced design with four principal old European cut diamond and further old cut diamond detail. Possibly adapted from a double clip. Estimated total diamond weight 2.80cts, colour H-J clarity VS1-P1. Length 40cms. Weight 74gms.

Condition Report
The necklace is in overall good condition. The diamond are bright and lively. One or two may have been replaced at a later date. Some of the smaller diamonds do not match. They have a deeper, off round cut. Small dark marks, chips and surface reaching cracks are present to a few diamonds. The durability may be impaired to one. The settings will need attention, general maintenance. The pearls have a cream to white body colour with green over tones. Blisters and blemishes can be seen to the surface of the nacre. Re-threading is recommended.
