Lot Description
A novelty squirrel brooch, with a circular cut ruby eye, a cabochon citrine body and holding a cultured pearl. Length of brooch 3.5cms. Weight 11.7gms. Stamped 18ct.

Condition Report
The overall condition of the brooch is good, it would benefit from a clean and there are minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The 18ct stamp if double over stamped. There is glue visible on the pearl around the squirrels hand, the pearl has a white hue and displays a good lustre, with minor blisters to the skin. The citrine looks slightly hazy. The setting to the ruby may need attention in the near future. The pin is believed to be base metal, it is in good working order, the hinge and clasp are tight.
