Lot Description

A French late 19th century key wind fob watch, the circular white dial having black Arabic numerals with a painted panel to the reverse depicting two young children surrounded by embossed foliate detail. The fob watch is attached to a  brooch fob of similar design with floral and scroll detail suspended from a fine belcher link chain. Diameter of fob 2.9cms. Length of brooch fob 7.5cms. Length of chain 52cms. Fob watch and brooch fob with French marks. Total weight 55.51gms.

The fob watch is in overall good/fair condition. There are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the fob watch, there is a dent crack visible to the back case. The painted portrait to the fob is in good condition, there is some slight abrasion to the cover, the dial has a small chip to the very edge. There is dirt to the edging of the principal painting to the fob and again some scratches to the cover, there is a dent to the back triangular panel, there are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the fob brooch in keeping with the age of the piece, the brooch fitting is secure. The chain is in good condition. The chain is in good condition. We cannot guarantee that the watch will work or the accuracy of the movement.
