Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold split pearl and turquoise monogram brooch, the monogram depicting the letters VRI for Victoria Regina Imperatrix surmounted by a green and red enamelled crown as worn by Prince Albert. Length 3.6cms, width 2.1cms. Weight 7.86gms. Crown possibly added at a later date.

Condition Report
The pendant is in overall good condition. The split pearls are fairly well matched and the turquoise are in good condition. There are slight scratches to the back of the piece. The crown appears to have been added at a later date as the metal does not match, the crown appears a little loose and may need to be secured. There is a chip to the red enamel of the crown and the red appears lighter in this area, there is some abrasion to the small enamel detail. The pin and catch is secure.
