Lot Description

An Edwardian silver sauce boat, with punched beading to rim, acanthus scroll handle and standing on three shell and hoof feet.  Hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1902. Length including handle measures 6 3/4 inches (17cm), weight 4.47 ozt (139 grams).

The sauce boat displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  There is also some tarnishing and pitting.  There are a couple of small dints near to one of the feet, which are also clearly visible from the interior, and some very minor nicks/dints all over.  There are dints and a small crease in the metal on the edge of the lip of the spout.  Hallmarks and maker's marks are slightly rubbed but still very clear.
