Lot Description
A pair of Continental white metal small candlesticks, modelled one as a man and the other as a woman in traditional Far Eastern dress, the sconce and circular base on each embossed and engraved with a band of scrolling foliage. Height measures 4 3/4 inches (12cm).

Condition Report
Both candlesticks display general wear and surface marks and scratches. The sconces on both are knocked and dinted so that they are misshapen in places. The circular bases are in a similar condition so that both sticks are a little wobbly when standing (one more than the other). There is some wear to the engraved and relief decoration.
