Lot Description
William IV three piece silver tea service made by Paul Storr, each piece of octagonal lobed melon form with repeated stylised scroll motif upon a graduated stippled background and leaf capped scrolling handles. The teapot has had an additional base added at a later date. The teapot and sugar bowl are numbered 215 and the teapot additionally marked Storr & Mortimer. Hallmarked London 1834. Gross weight 46 ozt (1436 grams).

Condition Report
The teapot displays general wear commensurate with the age and use. There are general scratches, marks and noticeable tarnishing, a few small minor shallow dents. The sugar and milk have previously had the interiors gilded this has now discoloured. The interior of the teapot heavily discoloured. Overall the hallmarks are clear and legible, partly rubbed to the milk and teapot, more so to the milk. As mentioned in the description there has been an additional foot added to the base of the teapot at a later date, raising the teapot approximately 1 inch higher, the additional foot bears part hallmarks with the makers mark of Charles Stuart Harris, the date letter 1876 and a distorted duty mark.
