Edwardian silver basket of oval form, floral scroll embossing, pierced scalework and swing handle. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin) Chester 1904. Length measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm), width measuring 9 inches (23 cm), weight 18 ozt (560 grams).

The basket displays light wear commensurate with the age and use, there are general scratches and marks and noticeable tarnishing. The body marked with the registered number 314384, the handle marked with a different number 169924. The hallmarks are clear and legible, the handle marked with the standard mark and date letter.
