Lot Description

Nineteenth century tray made by P. Orr & Sons, Madras, of circular form, the body engraved with a central carriage drawn by seven horses, surrounded by two concentric circles of eight and twelve panels, each depicting various stylised Deties and animals. Diameter measuring 14 inches (36 cm)., weight 36 ozt (1128 grams).

The tray displays wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks, dints and tarnishing. there are further green spots of discolouration. Shallow dent to the rim. P. Orr & Son, Madras stamped to the underside and clear and legible.
