Lot Description
Victorian Irish silver hip flask of elongated oval form, the detachable cup with engraved crest and initials, no visible hallmarks, hinged lid with screw locking mechanism. Hallmarked Edmond Johnson; Edmond Johnson Ltd Dublin 1887. Height measuring 6 3/4 inches (17 cm), weight 6.5 ozt (203 grams).

Condition Report
The item displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. The detachable cup bears an engraved monogram to one side and crest to other. The gilding to the cup interior displays contact marks and general wear. No hallmarks on the detachable cup. The locking mechanism to the lid is loose. The hallmarks are rubbed but still legible.
