Lot Description

George IV Irish silver toddy ladle, with initial engraving and whalebone twist handle. Hallmarked Dublin 1828, the maker possibly James Brady. Length measuring 7 1/2 inches (19 cm).

The item displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  There is a little bit of tarnishing, especially to the tip of the handle.  There are some minor nicks/dints in the metal.  The ladle part is slightly misshapen.  There is a small chip to whalebone handle and some cracks, especially near to the silver mount.  Engraved initial is rubbed but still legible.  Hallmarks are also quite rubbed but still legible.
