Edwardian silver sovereign purse, of oblong shape with personal inscription to lid, hallmarked...

All three items display wear and have general surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.

The sovereign purse has some deeper and more noticeable surface scratches.  There are also several small dints/nicks in the metal.  There are some areas of tarnishing, especially on one end and to the interior.  The lid is a very tight fit - it catches on one of the sovereign holders each time it is closed.  The full hallmarks and part hallmarks are all rubbed but are all still legible.  The personal inscription reads "In Memory of Mother August 6th 1903".

The sovereign holder displays some deeper scractches.  There is considerable wear to the engine turned decoration.  There are also some small nicks/dints in the metal.  The hinge is in good working order but it is difficult to open once closed.  There are some very noticeable scratches/marks to the interior of the lid.  Hallmarks and makers marks are rubbed but still legible - part hallmarks are very clear.

There is quite a lot of damage to the mother of pearl on the penknife.  The blade is very dirty and displays various scratches and marks.  It will not fold away properly inside the handle.  Hallmarks are clear.
