Lot Description

An early 20th century plain silver cigarette case of slightly curved square form, with engraved personal monogram to one corner.  Hallmarked D Bros., Birmingham 1919.  Measuring 8cm by 8cm, weight 96 grams.

The case displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  Some of the scratches are deeper and more noticeable.  There are also two or three dints in the metal, especially on the corners.  There is a much larger dent to one of the corners.  The interior also displays scratches and marks.  The hinge and clasp are in good working order.  Maker's marks are slightly rubbed but still legible.  Hallmarks are very clear.
