Condition Report
Both cigarette cases display general wear and surface marks and scratches and also a little tarnishing.
The large case has some wear to the edges and corners. The engine turned decoration is generally okay and the hinge and clasp appear to be in good working order. However, when the case is closed it does not shut tightly all the way around so that there is a gap at the two front corners. The corners have probably been knocked, one side is worse than the other. Hallmarks are clear.
The smaller case displays some wear to the engine turned decoration and also some nicks in the metal. There is also wear to the edges and corners. The hinge and clasp are in good working order. Hallmarks are clear. The interior also has a personal inscription - 'Lutra Aug 1st 1924'.
