Lot Description

Victorian silver pot of plain circular form, the detachable lid surmounted with a circular turquoise guilloche enamel panel. Hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire Birmingham 1896. Diameter measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), weight 2.29 ozt (71 grams).

The Victorian box displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are however a number of dents, particularly around the rim. The interior is gilded and although worn, appears relatively clean. The enamel appears in good condition. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
