Lot Description
Late Victorian silver mounted scent bottle of cylindrical form, scroll and floral embossing and open work with cranberry glass liner, missing stopper. Hallmarked Arthur Willmore Pennington Birmingham 1899. Height measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm).

Condition Report
The scent bottle displays wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Areas display denting and rubbing to the detail of the piece. Remnants of dirt and old polish visible to the glass in between the piercing of the silver. Small minor chips visible to the inner neck of the glass liner. The interior of the lid has been gilded. The hinge is in good working order, and the lid fits securely, slightly rising in the closed position. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
