A white metal mounted Cowrie shell snuff box, in Georgian style, the white metal with engraved and stippled foliate decoration to the underside. Maximum length measures 9cm.

Condition Report
The snuff box displays general wear and surface marks and scratches. There are some cracks in the shell, especially close to the mount at one end and also a more visible crack to the underside. The white metal mount is a little tarnished but the hinge is in good working order.
