Lot Description
Edwardian silver salver of classic shaped circular form with raised edge, wheat-ear rim, the main body with presentation engraving and floral scroll surround and raised above three bracket feet. Hallmarked Mark Willis Sheffield 1902. Diameter measuring 12 1/4 inches (31 cm), weight 29.7 ozt (924 grams). Fitted in a wooden case.

Condition Report
Overall the salver appears in good condition, there are general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The decorative engraving remains sharp and the hallmarks clear and legible. The engraving reads ' This piece of plate together, with a purse of gold was, Presented to the, Rev. Noel Lake and Mrs. Aspinall, by the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church, Chesterfield, and a few friends in token of their deep and sincere regard, after their ten years ministry in the parish, October 1902. J.I. Eyre, H. Scott, Wardens.'
