Lot Description

A late Victorian silver sugar basin and cream jug, each with frilled rim and embossed with a continuous panel of flower and scroll motifs above diagonal lobed decoration to the lower body.  Hallmarked Levesley Brothers, London 1899.  Combined silver weight 6.92 ozt (215.3 grams).

Both items display general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  The sugar basin has several splits to the frilled rim and some of these tears are quite long.  The rim is very slightly misshapen.  Hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
