Lot Description

Pair of silver candlesticks of octagonal shaped and flared form, filled. Hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd Birmingham 1919. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm).

The candlesticks display general wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. The rexine bases to the underside display more obvious wear and deterioration. There is a little visible shallow denting, particularly to one around the nozzle. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
