Lot Description
A late Victorian 9ct gold crescent moon and star stickpin set with a red paste and split pearl, hallmarks for Birmingham 1896. Together with a diamond stickpin set an old European cut diamond in a six claw setting and accompanying retainer.

Condition Report
Overall fair to good condition, the estimated diamond weight 0.10cts, colour G-H, clarity SI2, there is a natural to the girdle, the diamond is not symmetrical and has some naturals to the girdle. There are surface scratches to the metal and a few small nicks. The crescent moon and star stick pin is fair to good condition, with minor surface scratches and wear commensurate to the age of the piece. There is a possible repair to the middle of the pin where it looks to have been soldered together. The hallmarks are to the back of the crescent and are clear and legible. There is a large chip to the red stone. The split pearls are showing blisters and blemishes.
