Lot Description
Two late 19th century tortoiseshell hair combs, the first of tapered form with inlaid pink and colourless paste foliate detail and the other with a green imitation feather and scrolled paste detail.

Condition Report
Both combs are in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the larger comb and the inlaid colourless paste appears in fairly ok condition, the glue backing appears top have discoloured in places. One of the comb panels appears to lie to the one side. The other comb is in good condition, the paste appears dirty and would benefit from a delicate clean, the metal wire work is discoloured in places and the settings to the paste would need to be secured. The green imitation feather is dirty in places.
