Lot Description
Two pairs of lorgnettes, one with engine turned and scrolling detail to the handle and an attached long belcher link chain, also a pair of lorgnettes with a short handle set with marcasites in millegrain settings, accompanied by a leather case.

Condition Report
Overall good condition, both have minor surface scratches to the metal in keeping with general wear, and both show some tarnishing in areas and both the sprung lenses are in good working order.
The long handled pair have a couple of small scratches to the glass, the handle is 6.3cms in length and the chain is 150cms in length.
The short handled pair have a patch of small scratched to the centre of both lenses, the handle is 3cms in length.
The leather case shows wear and darkening of the leather to the edges and areas to both sides where the leather has been raised by the lorgnettes inside and rubbed against things. There is some rubbed gold print on it, and there are a few splits to the sides of the leather.
