A continental miniature portrait, depicting a classical lady, in an oval frame with hinged stand and scrolling acanthus leaf detail to the surround surmounted by a bow and floral decoration. Length 8cms.

Condition Report
Overall fair to good condition, the painting itself seems in good condition. The frame would benefit from a clean and it's showing tarnishing particularly to detail and joins with green tarnishing in many places. It has writing to the reverse which is partly illegible. The frame is believed to be base metal. It has a suspension loop to the reverse. Some of the grips to the back of the painting are slightly bent. The portrait is signed Gilloy.
