Lot Description

A pair of 19th century rosewood wall brackets. The tops of each with a raised gilt metal open gallery above an inset mirrored back enclosed by gilt metal spindles and gilt metal inlaid scrolled shaped rosewood supports, the whole upon an open shelf base with gilt metal moulded edge. Each 14.5" (37cm) tall, 13.25" (33.5cm)

The shelves to both brackets have splits which have been repaired and re-polished. Glass is thick so this suggests it has some age, however has a small chip to its corner. The tops have bowed and have split these appear to have been re-glued and wax filled. The lower shelves are the same. The lyre support to one is broken. Width 13" (33cm), depth 8" (20cm), height 14.5" (37cm)
