A late Victorian circular amber brooch circa 1880 of domed design, the central amber cabochon within a further unclarified amber surround and twist design border. Diameter 3.8cms. Weight 14.73gms. Amber coated. AF.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall fair/poor condition. The outer surround of amber appears to be coated and there are several chips to the outer surround which reveal a paler colour beneath. There are some surface reaching sun spangles to the central amber cabachon, some of these appear as chips. The outer border is discoloured in places, with areas of repair work, the pin is metal and has possibly been replaced. There are serious chips to the inner back of the brooch.
