An early/mid 20th century opal and split pearl brooch, the wreath design brooch has split pearls set to the leaves interspaced by claw set circular cabochon opals. Stamped 9ct. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 3gms. AF three split pearls missing.

Condition Report
Overall fair condition, with surface scratches and minor nicks, there are three split pearls missing, the end of one of the leaves is missing, one of the split pearls has a lot of noticeable glue around it, and there are small remnants of glue to other areas. There is a chip to the edge of one of the opals. The opals are fairly well matched and have a good play of colour. Some of the split pearls are misshapen, most show uneven nacres and most show pitting and blemishes. Soft solder can be seen underneath the clasp, the clasp needs to be shaped better so the pin doesn't come out as easily.
