Lot Description
A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch by S I Pappe, the white enamel dial having bold black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock with Arabic divisions and an outer minute track, the decorated case, hallmarked Chester 1892, with engine turned design to middle and rear along with a vacant cartouche, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with right angle ratchet tooth lever escapement and undersprung balance. Case diameter 58mm. Watch A/F. Together with a base metal key wind open face pocket watch. (2)

S.I Pappe open faced pocket watch, key winding manual movement is not currently functioning, dial shows some small cracks around the subsidiary seconds dial, dial also shows some small scratches and marks, hands show visible tarnishing, glass has marks and scratches, case has marks and scratches as a result of general use, engine turned design to the middle and to the back of the case shows signs of wear, inner back cover has light but visible scratches, hinges show wear to the corners, bow has some scratches.
Open faced pocket watch, key winding manual movement is currently functioning, dial has a significant chip to the centre, dial also has a chip by the 'IX' numeral and a small crack by the 'IIII' numeral as well as some small marks, hands show tarnishing, glass has marks and fine scratches, case has marks and scratches as a result of general use, case also shows significant wear to the plating, back of the case has tarnishing which looks to be caused by a stick-on label, hinges show wear to the corners, pendent and bow show significant wear to the plating.
