A Victorian silver key wind open face centre seconds pocket watch with stop function, the cream enamel dial with black Roman numerals surrounded by outer Arabic timing divisions, plain case hallmarked Chester 1882, makers mark SY, with milled band and central vacant cartouche in garter to reverse, numbered 31842, fitted with an unsigned three quarter plate fusee and chain movement numbered 31842 with partial chaton set train jewelling, ratchet tooth lever escapement and bi-metallic compensation balance. Case diameter 58mm.

Open faced pocket watch, key winding manual movement appears to be in good condition, dial shows various noticeable cracks which are partially prominent between the 'VI' and 'VII' numerals, dial has what appears to be a temporary repair above the 'VII' numeral which shows itself as a patch of paint which is a differing colour from the dial, dial also has some small marks, hands show marks, glass has tiny marks and fine scratches, case has scratches and marks as a result of general use, case band shows wear between 5 and 9 o'clock, case band shows a noticeable dint at 10 o'clock, vacant cartouche in garter to the back of the case show signs of wear, back of the case has visible scratches, hinges show wear to the corners.
