Lot Description
A pair of diamond and sapphire drop earrings, each small crescent shaped cluster of diamonds above graduated transition cut diamonds and a suspended sapphire drop. Composed of adapted early 20th century diamond panels, later added fittings and sapphire drops. Estimated total diamond weight 1.30cts, colour H-I, clarity SI1-SI2. Length 5cms. Weight 7gms.

Condition Report
The earrings are in overall good condition. The earrings have been put together. The early 20th century articulated diamond panel has been fitted to modern earrings backs and drop terminations.
The diamonds are bright and lively. A small surface reaching fracture can be seen to one diamond. Light inclusions can be seen within several. They are all well matched in colour.
The sapphires have a light cornflower blue. Concentrated zoning can be seen to one stone. Nibbles can be seen to the facet edges of the sapphires. There is a long chip where there was a surface reaching fracture. Light inclusions can be seen within both sapphires under magnification.
