Lot Description

An early 20th century 18ct gold opal and diamond ring, the central cabochon opal is flanked by further cabochon opals and a diamond point surround. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1911. Weight 3.2gms.

The ring is in overall good condition. Play-of-colour can be seen to all three opals. They are well matched. The opals are abraded and would benefit from a re-polish. The diamond detail is bright. All settings will need attention as the claws are worn thin. Some are bent out of shape. One is missing. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen, general wear. Ring size M.
