Lot Description
A mid 19th century garnet cluster lozenge shape pendant, with a central circular foil backed garnet surrounded by pear shape garnets. Length (including suspender) 3.1cms, width 2cms. Weight 2.83gms.

Condition Report
Overall fair condition, with minor surface scratches. There are some small dints to some of the closed back settings. To the garnets there is abrasion to some of the facet edges, a couple of the garnets have small chips to the edges and most have nibbles to the girdles. The garnets are not very well matched, one in particular has a much more orange/brown colour to the others that are much more purple to purple/red, some could have been replaced. Most of the claw settings are very worn and will need attention.
