Lot Description
Two brooches, to include a late 19th/early 20th century oval banded agate brooch with a scroll design border and a Victorian brooch, the rectangular chalcedony backing with an overlaid oval citrine within a scroll embossed surround. Length of agate brooch 5.5cms, width 6.4cm. Length of chalcedony brooch 3.2cms, width 4.2cms.

Condition Report
Both brooches are in fair condition. There is a dent to the central dome of the circular brooch, the back hinge to the pin has possibly been reattached, there are areas of discolouration to the outer back surround, the back perspex panel is loose. The back pin is metal. The back pin to the moss agate brooch has been reattached at a later date and lead solder is visible to the hinge. The outer embossed surround is a little discoloured with patches of possible repair to the reverse.
