Lot Description
Two brooches, to include an early 20th century diamond brooch, in the form of an arrow with a central diamond point set moth, also a late 19th century brooch with a central rectangular amethyst surrounded by interspaced turquoise and garnets. Length of arrow brooch 5.6cms. Length of amethyst brooch 2.8cms, width 2cms.

Condition Report
Both brooches are in overall fair condition. The silver fronting to the arrow brooch is heavily tarnished black and may need restoration, there are some quite heavy scratches to the bottom of the bar. The diamond points are quite bright, some of the claw settings may need to be checked. The back pin and catch is secure. The other brooch is in fair condition, the jump ring has been attached at a later date and the catch has been repaired, there are some scratches and areas of wear to the back of the brooch. There is some abrasion to the facet edges of the amethyst visible with magnification. One of the turquoise is more green in colour, they appear a little sunk in their settings, there is some slight abrasion to the facet edges of the garnets. The back pin is bent and off straight.
