Lot Description

Late Victorian silver heart shaped bonbon dish, the pierced sides embossed with swag, scroll and foliate motifs and standing on three ball feet, hallmarked Mitchell Bosly & Co., Birmingham 1896;  together with a similar circular example of the same date, maker Lucas & Co., Birmingham. Gross combined weight 1.2 ozt (39.6 grams).

The bonbon dishes display general scratches, marks and wear, both are also heavily tarnished. The circular example displays a number of tears to the silver, the heart shaped example also with one smaller tear. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
