Lot Description

A modern silver candlestick in Georgian style, the slender knopped stem and detachable nozzle embossed with foliate motifs, raised above a filled, shaped square base with conforming decoration.  Hallmarked Hampton Utilities, Birmingham 1965.  Height measuring 9 3/4 inches (25cm).

The candlestick displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Some deeper scratches and minor dints visible. The nozzle is loose in position. The stem is slightly slanted and off centre. The hallmarks are clear and legible, makers mark partly distorted.
