Lot Description

A Royal National Life Boat Institution commemorative silver bowl, the gilded centre decorated in relief with a scene depicting the rescue of the crew of the 'St. George', off the Isle of Man, on 20th November 1830;  the wide outer silver border embossed with a continuous wave motif, in fitted original case with information booklet.  Hallmarked Aurum Ltd., London 1974, no. 219 of limited edition of 750.  Diameter 7 3/4 inches (20cm), weight 9.87 ozt (307 grams).
