Victorian silver desk stand modelled as a shoe shine boy in uniform knelt on the pavement with hinged foot rest box and pen stand, the body mounted on a rectangular wooden plinth. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons (Edward Hutton) London 1888. Height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm).

Condition Report
The Victorian desk stand is in good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of previous polish visible. To one hand the model of a shoe shine boy is holding what is presumed to be a base of a brush which is missing bristles. Green felt present to the underside, some of this has been cut away. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
